Sports and Games help us maintain good health, foster team spirit and good behavior. Sports reduce our mental exhaustion and offer us a change from the monotony of daily life. Education without sports is incomplete. Keeping these values in mind, sports have been an integral part of College’s extra-curricular activities.
Every year our students win many awards participating in a number of Inter College tournaments, Inter-University Zonal & National Competitions. We are proud of our Sports Students.

क्रीडा विभागामध्ये सर्व प्रकारचे खेळ, साहित्य उपलब्ध आहे. इनडोअर व आऊटडोअर खेळाची सोय आहे. आंतरमहाविद्यालयीन खेळामध्ये आपल्या महाविद्यालयाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना सहभाग मिळावा म्हणून विशेष मार्गदर्शन केले जाते. विविध स्पर्धांसाठी संघ पाठविले जातात. महाविद्यालयातील खेळाडूंची अनेक स्पर्धांमध्ये वैयक्तिक व सांघिक विजेतेपद मिळवावे, त्यांची विद्यापीठ स्तरावर, राज्यस्तरावर व राष्ट्रीयस्तरावर निवड व्हावी व महाविद्यालयाचे नाव उज्ज्वल करावे अशी अपेक्षा आहे. वार्षिक स्नेहसंमेलनामध्ये क्रीडा स्पर्धा संख्येने आयोजित केल्या जातात. त्यावेळी खेळण्याची संधी अवश्य घ्यावी. किमान खेळ पाहण्यास व स्पर्धकांना प्रोत्साहन देण्यास उपस्थित रहावे. अधिक माहिती अथवा मदतीसाठी क्रीडा विभागाचे प्रमुख प्राध्यापकांशी संपर्क साधावा. सर्व प्रथम वर्षातील विद्यार्थ्यांनी शारिरीक शिक्षण परीक्षा देणे अनिवार्य आहे. या परीक्षेत ग्रेड दिली जाते. ही परीक्षा जर विद्यार्थ्यांने दिली नाही तर त्याला तृतीय वर्षात परीक्षेचा अर्ज भरता येणार नाही.
All round personality development of students is the aim of education. Sports plays an important role in nurturing the minds of the students. It develops positive thinking among the players.
The Director of Physical Education of the institute conducts and motivates the players to participate in Inter Collegiate, Inter Classes, Zonal, Inter Zonal, Inter-University Tournaments/Competitions in association with University and District Level Sports Association.
The team representing the Institute is selected on the basis of performance and is given coaching by experts. Apart from practice facility, travel and daily allowance, blazer and incentives are given to the students. The institute promotes and encourages participation of women in intra- and inter-college sports competitions. The institute provides regular coaching camps for such sports persons. Women are given special coaching, counseling and facilities to participate in sports at regional and national levels. The players participate in regional and national level inter-college tournaments regularly. Such sports activities motivate the students to participate in sports and games. The institute also promotes inter-departmental sports and games competitions to motivate the students. The students of the institute have won many prizes and ranks in regional/national level sports.

1. Sports Scholarship for Meritorious Sports Persons
For the promotion of Game Sports at College level; the University Board of Sports & Physical Education has decided to award sports scholarship to meritorious sports person; who has achieved medals at All India Inter University Tournament Organized by the Association of Indian Universities; New Delhi; Since Academic year 2007-08.

2. Grant for Purchase of Non-consumable Sports Equipment
Under the Quality Improvement programmee runned under B.C.U.D. The committee has decided to provide financial assistance to all affiliated College and recognized Institutes of University of Pune for the Purchases of Non-consumable sports requirements. This decision has been taken to improve the sports facilities in the College and to motivate the students to take actual part in sports events. The financial Provision made for this scheme is 1.5 crore for every academic year. Every College & Institute is eligible for the grant of Rs. 1,00,000/- for the Purchase of Non consumable sports equipment after every alternate year.
3. Incentive Marks for Meritorious Sportsman

4. Gold Medal for Meritorious Sportsperson
The University Authority has taken the decision to award the best sportsperson prize in both Men and Women section for his contribution in sports at the Inter University Sports Competition. The award will be the gold medal in both the section in the memory of olympic medal winner wrestler “LATE KHASHABA JADHAV GOLD MEDAL” along with the cash prize of Rs. 51,000/- each; since the academic year 2014-15.
5. Best College Trophy
For the promotion of sports in the colleges, the best college trophy has also been started in the memory of “LATE DR. VASANTRAO PAWAR TROPHY” for the best college for it’s contribution of players participation in the Inter University Sports.
